SBKMobile - Troubleshooting Incoming Calls Going Straight to Missed Calls

The Caller Hangs Up Before the Call Is Connected

 

A common reason for a missed call without a ring is that the caller dials your number and quickly hangs up. This often happens when you use a phone menu (IVR). If callers hear your menu options and hang up after making a selection, the call will be recorded as missed.

1. Improve Your Connection

 

As a VoIP provider, SBKMobile’s system relies on a stable Internet connection, whether via Wi-Fi or mobile data. Without a reliable and stable connection, incoming calls may not ring.

 

To resolve this issue:

Change your internet source (e.g., switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa).

Restart your router if you’re using Wi-Fi.

Check for third-party software, firewalls, or VPNs that may be blocking your connection. If so, try disabling them temporarily to see if the issue is resolved.

 

2. Adjust Your Focus Settings on iPhone

 

The Focus feature on an iPhone works like a “smart silent mode” that filters what can or cannot disturb you. If it’s not properly set up for the SBKMobile app, here’s what can happen:

1. You won’t receive call notifications, or they will arrive late.

2. Calls may go directly to voicemail without ringing.

3. No sound or vibration will alert you if someone tries to reach you.

4. SBKMobile may be paused and not alert you to incoming calls.

 

To avoid this, configure Focus to allow SBKMobile to send alerts, even when Focus is active. Otherwise, you may miss important calls.

 

3. Enable Push Notifications

1. Open Settings.

2. Find SBKMobile in the app list.
